Strategic Account Manager - Data Centre Infrastrcuture

London or Dublin | Competitive salary + uncapped commission

An international technology infrastructure business is looking for an experienced data-centre professional to develop several strategically important customer relationships, including a major global hyperscaler.

You may come from account management, business development or technical sales. Alternatively you could have progressed through data-centre operations, project delivery, design or estimating and now want to move into a strategic commercial role.

The role

• Build relationships with hyperscalers, general contractors, M&E contractors, consultants and delivery partners.
• Identify opportunities across major data-centre construction, fit-out and infrastructure programmes.
• Develop and execute strategic account plans.
• Position the business early within customer investment and project pipelines.
• Coordinate internal technical, estimating, commercial and operational teams.
• Progress opportunities through proposal, negotiation, award and delivery.
• Grow accounts across Europe and potentially APAC.

About you

• Direct experience within the data-centre industry.
• Strong understanding of how major data-centre projects are influenced and delivered.
• Experience working with customers, contractors, consultants or other organisations within the data-centre ecosystem.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder-management skills.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to identify new opportunities.
• A proactive, hands-on approach.

You don’t need to be selling the same services currently or to have followed a traditional sales career path. What matters is your data-centre knowledge, industry credibility and ability to build commercially valuable relationships.

International travel will be required.
