Sales Manager – BMS / Energy

Up to £67,500 basic + car allowance / company car + bonus
North East (Durham office) | Office-based with regional travel | Monday–Friday

An opportunity to join a well-established and highly respected building services and energy solutions provider, leading sales activity across the North East region.

This role focuses on winning project and major upgrade work within the BMS / energy space, working with consultants, M&E contractors and end-user clients. You’ll play a key role in driving regional performance, safeguarding margins and building long-term commercial relationships within a business known for technical expertise and stability.

The Role

This is a senior, technically led sales role with responsibility for driving project-based revenue across the region.

  • Target consultants, M&E contractors and end users to secure BMS projects, upgrades and energy works

  • Lead sales activity across major project and upgrade opportunities

  • Build and develop long-term relationships through technical presentations and solution-led selling

  • Prepare quotations based on site surveys, specifications and technical documentation

  • Maintain accurate forecasting and sales reporting to the Regional Sales Manager

  • Work closely with sales, service and project teams to win work from competitors

  • Promote the company’s service offering and brand within the North East


About You

  • Proven experience in BMS / building services / energy sales

  • Strong background in project sales or major upgrade work

  • In-depth understanding of estimating, bid management and Building Management Systems

  • Existing relationships with consultants, contractors and end users in the region

  • Commercially astute with the ability to manage margin and profitability

  • Confident presenting, negotiating and influencing at senior stakeholder level

  • Organised, proactive and comfortable working autonomously
