Business Development Manager / Relationship Manager – Alternative Investments | Fixed Income

Location: Remote (UK)

Salary: £50,000–£90,000 + uncapped commission (high earning potential scaled by performance)

The Company

Our client is a rapidly expanding global investment firm operating across the UK and international markets. With a five-year audited performance track record and a diverse portfolio of high-yield, fixed-income, and alternative investment products, they’ve built a trusted reputation among high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), family offices, and professional investors.

The Role

This position focuses entirely on the investment side of the business — sourcing, developing, and managing investor relationships globally.

You will generate new investor relationships, nurture existing ones, and raise capital for a range of structured and alternative products. Reporting to senior leadership, this role offers full autonomy, flexibility, and exceptional earning potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with HNWIs, family offices, and professional investors.
  • Raise new investment capital and expand the company’s investor base.
  • Bring existing investor contacts or build new networks independently (“hunter” mindset).
  • Maintain accurate CRM and pipeline records.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership to align on commercial goals.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven background in investment sales or capital raising (alternative investments, fixed income, private equity, or similar).
  • A strong network – or the ability to develop one – among sophisticated investors.
  • Self-starter attitude with credibility and confidence in investor conversations.
  • Experience in non-FCA environments is welcome.
  • CISI or related qualifications are advantageous but not essential.

Compensation and Progression

  • Base salary: £50,000–£90,000 (dependent on experience)
  • Commission: Uncapped, scaled to performance
  • Travel: Optional; covered for investor meetings.
  • Office: Remote-first, with optional Manchester/Cheshire meetings.
