Business Development Manager – Leeds – Hybrid – 1 day a week in the office

Our client is a fast-growing UK cloud technology business providing innovative cloud hosting, disaster recovery, backup, and data protection solutions. They’re entering an exciting new phase of growth and are now looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to help drive new revenue, build strategic partnerships, and shape the company’s commercial strategy.

The Role

This is a key senior sales role within the commercial team, focused on accelerating revenue growth through new logo acquisition and strategic partnership development.

  • Define and deliver the business development strategy to achieve growth and market expansion targets.
  • Identify, develop, and close high-value opportunities across end customers, MSPs, resellers, and channel partners.
  • Lead by example in driving new business across core service areas: cloud hosting,disaster recovery, backup, and data protection.
  • Work closely with marketing to align campaigns and go-to-market initiatives with commercial goals.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networkingopportunities
  • Inspire and mentor the business development team, helping them achieve and exceed collective targets.

Who are we looking for?

You’re a proven business development professional with a track record in B2B technology sales, partnerships, or channel development. You combine a strategic mindset with a hands-on, results-driven approach, and you’re motivated by the opportunity to make a tangible impact within a growing tech business.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Proven success in a senior sales or businessdevelopment role, ideally within cloud, IT services, or data protection.
  • A strong network and experience in B2B technology partnerships or channel sales.
  • Demonstrable experience in defining go-to-market strategies and delivering measurable growth.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to balance strategic vision with day-to-day commercial delivery.
