Sales Manager – Sporting Events- Up to £40k basic + £10k OTE - Lewes

A rare opportunity to join an exciting sporting events organisation with a rich history and a strong connection to the community. We’re looking for an experienced Sales Manager with a genuine passion for sport and events.

In this exciting role, you’ll oversee all areas of sales—from hospitality and group bookings to sponsorships, sporting events, and wider event sales and marketing. You’ll inherit a small but dedicated sales and marketing team, and we’re looking for someone who can truly lead—motivating, inspiring, and driving performance.

You’ll take full ownership of the sales cycle, build and deliver a commercial sales and marketing strategy, and be accountable for team performance, operations, and budgets. Most importantly, you’ll be hands-on and focused on driving growth and revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead sales across events, hospitality, group bookings, and sponsorship packages
• Create and deliver a targeted sales strategy using email marketing, telemarketing, and partner promotions
• Build strong client relationships, focusing on account growth and retention
• Identify new commercial opportunities aligned to business goals
• Work closely with the marketing team to support promotional campaigns and customer acquisition

What You’ll Bring:

• Proven experience in a sales management role, ideally within sport or events
• A track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
• Confidence in building rapport with clients and handling negotiations
• A hands-on, proactive approach and ability to lead from the front

Please note: This role is not a standard 9–5. The right candidate must be flexible and able to work evenings and weekends during events.
