Business Development Director – Public Sector - Berkshire – Hybrid - £90,000 - £100,000/OTE double salary
This is an individual contributor role – CcaaS / UCaaS /AI / SaaS background required
A global cloud communications company have an opening for a Senior Business Development Manager with solid Public Sector (Central/Local Government) experience to join them. With a proven track record in closing complex and large scale sales deals, you will work closely with presales, delivery and bid related teams to effectively create, sell and deliver new business wins.

Typical day to day:
- Achieve revenue & margin targets from new customers on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Work with marketing or other internal departments to proactively identify and target customers.
- Regularly meet and build effective relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Work closely with presales, delivery, support and any bid-related teams to effectively create, sell and deliver new business wins.
- Take overall responsibility for delivering any assigned opportunities, whether directly managed or through a bid team.
- Maintain a broad understanding of key products and technology relevant to our services.
Who/what are we looking for?
- Significant experience closing complex public sector sales with long sales cycle (6-18 months)
- Significant experience managing and closing major accounts within both UK central and local government organisations
- Substantial experience in the SaaS or equivalent industry, typically of at least five years with a focus on the public sector market.
- Strong experience working with public sector frameworks.
- Substantial experience within the SaaS, AI, CCaaS industry.
- Proven ability to complete high priority sales deals, from point of contact to completion.
