A little about me
My early career was in HR and support roles, I fell into sales purely by chance. I wanted a part time job when my son was a baby, there is only so much baby talk one can cope with, and as I can talk the hind legs off a donkey I thought why not try sales.... I got an evening job in a call centre selling insurance and I loved it! I gradually moved up the ladder and ended up managing the entire team.
I entered the wild world of recruitment in 2008 and have never looked back. It's a rollercoaster ride but I love what I do!! Most days anyway.... :-)
Step Ahead Recruitment was born in 2011. I have had my own experiences of working with recruiters as a Hiring Manager, some good and some not so good. I wanted to offer an honest and personal recruitment solution. I work closely with my clients, many of whom have become personal friends and I work very hard to understand their business in order to offer the best possible recruitment solution.
I also try my very best to work in partnership with my candidates and make them feel valued. I am delighted to be able to say that a high number of my clients are ex candidates, some of whom I have placed in their current roles and some not.
A little more about me
I am a very proud Mum of a 23 year old son who is my miracle IVF baby (6 attempts) and I am owned by two lovely doggies called Ruby and Ozzie. I live in sunny Berkshire and love nothing more than a good girlie night out.
As much as I would like to say I am a gin snob, can you believe I am allergic to most forms of alcohol and chocolate :-(
