Payroll Advisor

Payroll Advisor - Up to £30k basic – Remote – North-West Based

We are currently working with a successful Payroll and HR advisory and due to growth; they are looking for a payroll advisor to join their North West team on a remote basis.

Candidates with a CIPP qualification would have a great advantage

Typical day to day:

• Manage payroll clients portfolio, ensuring timely pay runs and accurate records in the in-house system.
• Calculate all Statutory Payments (SMP, SSP, SPP etc)
• Understand and advise clients on auto enrolment pensions
• Provide client support via phone and email, staying updated on HMRC guidelines.
• Handle payroll admin tasks like post, documentation, and pension contributions.
• Attend client meetings to meet new business targets.
• Support team members and maintain required skills.
• Perform other duties as needed

Who/what are we looking for?

• Similar experience in a payroll bureau or on internal payroll
• CIPP qualification desirable but not essential
• Must know payroll off screen and know the calculations behind payroll
• Strong Excel and Microsoft skills
• Thorough understanding of UK Payroll and accurate numeracy is essential
• Demonstrated self-motivation and ambition are highly valued.
• Strong attention to detail.
